Snow totals, season comparisons, soil temperatures and lawn timing on this site are modeled estimates built from public NOAA and National Weather Service data. Conditions at a specific property can differ. Don't use our numbers for contract billing, insurance claims, legal disputes or any situation that needs a certified measurement. For that, use an on-site measurement or a certified weather service. See our snow contract guide.

Lawn and product guidance

Our guides summarize university extension research. Always read and follow the product label, which is the legal requirement for pesticide and fertilizer use, and check local rules before applying anything.
